Cave Hotel and Golf Resort is a 41-room boutique hotel which opened its doors in 2019 on the grounds of the former Boughton Golf Club between Faversham and Canterbury.
With a fine dining restaurant, deluxe pool area and stunning 18 hole championship golf course set amidst the backdrop of 167 acres of rolling countryside, Cave is described as "an affordable luxury hotel with a five-star feel", but, like all businesses in the hospitality industry, it was forced to close in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Now set to re-open on July 4th Cave have put in place a number of safety measures and developed a responsible social distancing strategy to maintain minimal contact and protect guests. One-way walking routes, restaurant-in-room dining experiences and private pool sessions as well complimentary face masks and hand sanitiser are just a few of the measures Cave have introduced.
Monarch Chemicals, who distribute the VIROGUARD range of hand and surface sanitiser products were contacted by Cave, who were looking for a premium hand sanitising product that would be exceptional at killing bacteria and viruses but also gentle enough for frequent, daily use with no detrimental effect on the skin.
Monarch were happy to assist, offering Cave their own label version of the product in order to keep all products on the hotel grounds consistent with the stylish Cave brand.
Cave’s new hand sanitiser, which is complimentary to guests and also available to buy, is certified to kill 99.99% of harmful bacteria and viruses, including Coronavirus, helping to reassure guests, staff and golfers and help to keep them safe during their time at Cave and long afterwards.
VIROGUARD alcohol-free hand sanitiser is manufactured in the UK by the Monarch owned company, Cleantec Innovation. The unique foaming formulation contains no alcohol, fragrances or dyes and is approved to BS EN 1276 anti-bacterial and BS EN 14476 anti-viral standards.
