Borax, also referred to as Sodium Tetraborate Decahydrate is an odourless, white crystalline powder. It is the component of many detergent products and enamel glazes and also has its place as an anti-fungal compound and in the manufacture of fibreglass.
Predominantly used in the manufacture of detergents borax is a heavily alkaline chemical which helps to remove acid-based stains, works as a whitening agent, stabilises enzymes, softens water and boosts the overall performance of surfactants.
