Caustic Potash Liquor

Caustic Potash Liquor, also referred to as Potassium Hydroxide Solution, Potash Lye and KOH Liquor is a colourless inorganic liquid and supplied by Monarch Chemicals in a number of different concentrations including 40%, 45% and 50%.

Caustic Potash Liquor has a broad number of uses spanning industries from personal care and cosmetics to soap, detergents and agriculture. It possesses a strong base and reacts with fats and grease, making it a common ingredient in many oven and drain cleaners. Other uses of caustic potash include in the manufacture of fertilisers, speciality glass, runway de-icers and used as the electrolyte in alkaline batteries.
