Sulphamic Acid, also spelt sulfamic, is a white crystalline product commonly used as a de-scaling, cleaning agent. This colourless, water-soluble compound finds many applications. Sulphamic Acid commonly used as a de-scaler and cleaning agent and has many uses in the pharmaceutical industry. Used as a catalyst for esterification process, when reacted with cyclohexylamine followed by the addition of NaOH it gives sodium cyclamate which is more commonly known as an artificial sweetener and also has some uses in dye manufacturing.
