Potassium Carbonate

Potassium carbonate is available in anhydrous dense granular, granular food grade and solution. It is a white inorganic soluble salt with deliquescent properties.

This product is used in water treatment, chemical manufacturing, detergents, pharmaceutical preparations, ceramics, glass, agricultural application and as a food additive.

Also known as potash carbonate, this product has historically been used in the manufacture of soaps and glass. As a chemical with exothermic properties (ability to release heat) it is also often found in many de-icing products and solutions.

In food and drink products, potassium carbonate serves as a general-purpose additive. It is added as a source of seasoning and flavour enhancement and is also used to lower the acidity levels of wine.
