Glycerine is available in a variety of different grades and is referred to by a number of synonyms such as glycerol and glycerin.

In its purest state, glycerine is colourless and odourless with a high viscosity. As a non-toxic product, it is used in virtually all industries as a component or main ingredient in anything from feed additives and e-liquids through to being used in preservatives, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, paints and solvents.

The most common uses of glycerine include use as a thickening agent in cosmetics and within the food and beverage industry, as well as an emulsifier, humectant, sweetening agent and preservative. It is also used widely in the paints and paper industries as well as being the main ingredient in the manufacture of e-liquids and agricultural feed additives.

Technical Grade Glycerine 

Our technical grade glycerine has a minimum purity of 96.5% with an APHA of 600. Technical glycerine is used in a variety of different industries including in the manufacture of tyre shine products as well as in the manufacture of resins, gums and cosmetics.

High in colour (600 hazen) this product is based on vegetable oil and the manufacturing process is Kosher certified, however the packed product is not filled under Kosher certified operations.

Glycerine 99.5% Tech - UCO Based

Glycerine 99.5% tech is very similar to highly refined grades of glycerine however is not manufactured to meet the EP (European Pharmacopoeia) standard and can be produced using used cooking oil (UCO) as the raw material as well as tallow-based cat.3 crude glycerine. 

A by-product of biodiesel production from used cooking oil this grade of glycerine is ideal for any industrial application that requires a high purity, clear product. 

Vegetable Glycerine – Pharmaceutical EP

Our vegetable glycerine is a clear, viscous liquid and has a minimum purity of 99.7%. This product meets the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia and complies with the purity requirements of the Commission Regulation (EU) 231/2012.

Obtained from non-GMO vegetable fats, this product possesses the highest purity. Our vegetable glycerine is safe and suitable for use in the manufacture of e-liquids where it produces a high percentage of vapour as well as within the food and beverage industry where it is used a sweetener, thickening agent and preservative.

Vegetable glycerine or VG is also used in the manufacture of cosmetics and moisturisers as well as many pharmaceutical products.
