Demineralised Water

Demineralised water, also known as de-ionised water, or simply, demin, is a water that has undergone a purification process to remove its mineral and salt ions.

This clear, scale-free water is then suitable for use in a variety of industrial, commercial and manufacturing applications, and as the contaminates are removed, will not pollute or leave behind any residues.

Primarily, demineralised water is ideal for use in chemical mixing processes because it does not contain any minerals which can interfere. Other uses include as a wash water for microelectronic products, boiler feeds, steam raising applications, cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacturing and, given its poor conductivity, fire extinguishers.
