Pyrotechnics

Pyrotechnics is the science of using materials capable of undergoing self contained exothermic chemical reactions to create heat, light, gas smoke and sound.

For example, sodium benzoate is used in fireworks as a fuel in whistle mix, a powder that emits a whistling noise when compressed into a tube and ignited.

Other than the obvious fireworks, pyrotechnics include the manufacturing of matches, oxygen candles, blasting and mining equipment as well as flares.

At Monarch we work with a number of producers so that we have a range of high quality products that are commonly used in these types of industries.
